I admit, I'm not very patient when it comes to sorting through racks and racks of clothing. Even shopping at Winners can be painful to me. But every once in a while, you find a gem.
So here's my question: What are some tips for making the most of thrifting? How do you not get overwhelmed?

The best thing to do is to invision your style in your mind. Think about the different types of designs that you like (ruffles, long or short sleeve, button up, lace up etc.)
Color is a good place to start. Begin sifting through the racks by the color of the clothing piece. Let's say you like red; your looking through the racks of women's clothing and find a red shirt. You pull it out and take a look at it. Below are three things to think of (in order) when you make a catch:
1. Is it your style?
2. If so what is the price? Can you afford it?
3. Do you really need it? Will you wear it in the future?

These are all good things to keep in mind.

If you like it, get it.
But inspect it closely. How is the quality? How does it smell? What are the washing instructions? Is it too worn out? Check the armpits for wear or stains. Check the crotch of pants to see if it's ripped or stretched out.
