  • Yeah, department stores would probably be best. you can also look at forever 21 and delias. it gets harder and harder to find modest dresses. :P

  • Hmm, well, there's lots of places you can look! I'll give you my list for places I always like to check!

Target -- cute clothes, reasonable prices, good clearance, and I've seen a few modest white dresses there.
Ross -- Ross has really great prices and a pretty good selection. I would check there, though it can be kind of hit and miss.
Marshalls -- Marshalls is generally a good place to look for reasonable prices, and I know I saw some cute white dresses the last time I was there.
    Nordstrom Rack
Department stores like JC Penny's (though it's getting harder to find dresses that are actually modest in their junior departments...)
    Forever21
Then, if you don't mind used, try your local thrift shop! The only problem with this is that you may not find what you're looking for...but you might find some great bargains!

Finally, if the dress you find isn't as modest as you like, see if it would work to use layers...like a cardigan on top or a tank top or matching tee layered under the top part of the dress.

Good luck! I hope that gave you some ideas of places to look!

  • Marshalls is a good place for reasonable priced dresses. If you're looking for a classic White dress that you want to keep around for future occasions you can try White House l Black Market (http://whitehouseblackmarket.com/)

  • If you have a good Ross, try there. And if you are worried about a plunging neckline, you coud put a cami or something underneath. If it's about exposed shoulders, throw a shrug over it. If it's too short, leggings are a good solution.

  • Sometimes cheaper dresses dont go the distance. Im a quality over quantity type of gal. If you want to find a really cute dress try ASOS.com. Its a UK clothing site, I buy all my dresses from there. Just make sure to switch the currency because you might think your paying 20 dollars when you're really paying 20 euros which is about 35 dollars. CHECK CLEARANCE FIRST!!!!

  • Check around department stores like Macy's. Try Forever 21 (if you're a bit on the petite side because F21's dresses are pretty short sometimes) and definitely H&M. Maybe Delias-- I know they sell pretty cute dresses.

I bought my wedding dress from there, a gorgeous ivory layered strapless dress with beautiful beading and after taxes it was only $96.00!!!! Seriously why not check it out. :)
